Scientific research on mindfulness has demonstrated a wide range of benefits for both mental and physical health. Numerous studies have shown that regular mindfulness practice can reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress, and improve overall well-being. Additionally, neuroimaging studies have revealed changes in brain structures associated with enhanced attention, emotion regulation, and empathy, providing empirical evidence for the positive impact of mindfulness on the brain.
“Veronica has been working with my three children for almost a decade. She is kind, intuitive and extremely knowledgeable about mindfulness practice and how to support kids in their emotional and social growth. The impact she has had on my children has been profound, helping them to grow into confident and well-balanced young people.”
- Athena (Psychologist)
“Veronica helps me when I’m feeling really overwhelmed. She helps me feel relaxed and calm. The meditations also help me to feel relaxed.”
- Vaughn (age 11)
“My relationship with my little brother is much better because of Veronica. She also listens very well to anything I say which is nice because many people don’t really do that.”
- Monty (age 16)
“Veronica listens better than almost anyone else I know, gives great advice, and always respects boundaries, whether they’re her own or someone else’s. She’s been a part of my life for over a decade now, and she continues to be one of the most stable and comforting relationships I have.”
- Avanna (age 18)
"Veronica has been with me on my own spiritual path by providing me with valuable resources and most importantly, ongoing, emotional support and encouragement. Veronica has been there for me without judgment as I have shared thoughts and feelings with her, which has provided a safe place to learn and grow. I appreciate her support and gift of wanting to share her growing knowledge of self-care with others. For anyone in need of support during their journey, Veronica would help to serve you by her genuine care and commitment to helping others discover light and inner peace.
- Katie (4th Grade Teacher)
“Veronica has been wonderful. She has given our children tools for emotional regulation, empathy and self-awareness that I wish i had had when I was growing up. She is a deeply empathetic and nurturing person, highly trained in both traditional education and mindfulness. I am so glad our children have had her in their lives.”
- Carlo (Biologist)
“Veronica Ford - A super supporter, a mother, a leader spreading awareness of the mind. She has been there for my wife and I numerous times providing support with helping us shift our perspective, focusing more on a growth mindset and helping us honor and respect our feelings as well as the feelings of others. Her dedication has been awesome! She once traveled from southern California to the Bay Area to help me and my family navigate through our challenges. I am a 3 time Thyca survivor and we are grateful for Our Mindful Village. Thank you Veronica.”
- Frederick (Chef)
Those who learn mindfulness will gain a better understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. This self-awareness can help them recognize and manage their emotions more effectively, leading to improved emotional intelligence.
Mindfulness teaches those how to regulate their emotions and reactions. They will learn techniques to respond to challenging situations calmly and make better choices when faced with stress or frustration.
Mindfulness encourages those to develop empathy and compassion for themselves and others. Through practices like loving-kindness meditation, one can cultivate a sense of kindness and empathy towards friends, family, and others.
Mindfulness exercises often involve activities that enhance concentration and attention. Those who practice mindfulness are likely to have improved focus in school or work, better problem-solving skills, and an easier time staying on task during various activities.
