I am a Mother, Credentialed Teacher, Certified Mindfulness Educator, Reiki Practitioner & Cancer Thriver.
I look forward to sharing my journey with you and the inspiration behind the services I offer.
I NEVER ANTICIPATED THAT MY JOURNEY AS AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHER WOULD LEAD ME TO BECOME A MENTAL HEALTH ADVOCATE AND MINDFULNESS EDUCATOR. IT ALL BEGAN WITH A DEEP CONCERN FOR MY STUDENTS' MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING, SOMETHING MY TEACHING JOB HAD NOT ADEQUATELY PREPARED ME FOR.
EVERY DAY, I WITNESSED MY STUDENTS STRUGGLE WITH ANXIETY, LOW SELF-ESTEEM, AND OTHER EMOTIONAL CHALLENGES. AS DEDICATED AS I WAS TO THEIR ACADEMIC GROWTH, I COULDN'T IGNORE THE FACT THAT THEIR SOCIAL EMOTIONAL WELL-BEING WAS EQUALLY IMPORTANT. AT THE SAME TIME, I FOUND MYSELF TRAPPED IN A TOXIC WORK ENVIRONMENT, OVERWHELMED WITH STRESS AND UNSURE OF HOW TO HELP MYSELF.
THIS CONFLUENCE OF EVENTS AWAKENED A DEEP CALLING WITHIN ME. I FELT AN URGENT NEED TO TAKE ACTION AND EXPAND MY KNOWLEDGE BEYOND THE TRADITIONAL REALM OF TEACHING. I EMBARKED ON A JOURNEY OF SELF-EDUCATION, SEEKING OUT TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES THAT COULD HELP BOTH MY STUDENTS AND MYSELF.
AND THAT IS WHEN MINDFULNESS ENTERED MY LIFE, ACTING AS A BEACON OF HOPE AND A GAME-CHANGER. IN MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, MINDFULNESS HAD AN INCREDIBLE EFFECT ON HOW I COPED WITH STRESS, CALMED MY NERVOUS SYSTEM, AND BROUGHT ME TO A STATE OF PRESENCE. IT HELPED ME FIND THE TRUE ESSENCE OF JOY, WHICH WAS OFTEN CLOUDED BY THE DEMANDS OF MY JOB AND THE CHAOS OF DAILY LIFE.
GRATEFUL FOR THE TRANSFORMATIVE POWER OF MINDFULNESS, I DEDICATED MYSELF TO MASTERING ITS PRACTICES. I BECAME A STUDENT AGAIN, SOAKING UP KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING IN MINDFULNESS TECHNIQUES, UNDERSTANDING ITS PRINCIPLES, AND IMPLEMENTING THEM INTO MY LIFE.
THIS PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION IGNITED A PASSION WITHIN ME TO SHARE THESE TOOLS WITH OTHERS. ARMED WITH THE TOOLS AND TECHNIQUES, I NOTICED TREMENDOUS GROWTH IN MY OWN LIFE. MINDFULNESS BECAME MY ANCHOR DURING THE MOST CHALLENGING TIMES. IT HELPED ME HEAL DEEP-SEATED GENERATIONAL TRAUMA AND GUIDED ME TOWARDS RECOVERY DURING MY BATTLE WITH CANCER. MINDFULNESS, I LEARNED, IS NOT JUST A BAND-AID SOLUTION, BUT A POWERFUL CATALYST FOR THE HEALING PROCESS.
I STAND FIRM IN MY BELIEF THAT EVERY INDIVIDUAL POSSESSES THE POTENTIAL TO LIVE THEIR BEST LIFE, AND I ATTRIBUTE THIS CAPABILITY TO A HEALTHY MIND. BY PRIORITIZING MENTAL WELL-BEING AND EMBRACING MINDFULNESS AS A WAY OF LIFE, WE CAN UNLOCK OUR TRUE POTENTIAL AND NURTURE A RESILIENT SPIRIT.
TODAY, AS A MULTI-PASSIONATE MOMMY AND FORMER TEACHER TURNED MINDFULNESS TEACHER, I AM GRATEFUL FOR THE TOOLS I HAVE ACQUIRED. THEY HAVE ENABLED ME TO HELP MYSELF FIRST, CULTIVATING A HEALTHY MIND AND A JOYFUL EXISTENCE WHICH IS MY WISH FOR ALL.
